Tus derechos de garantía legal
EU harmonised notice on the legal guarantee
In Spain the legal guarantee for new goods is 3 years from delivery (article 120 of Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007, Spain's consumer law, TRLGDCU).
If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of your own national law, which is never less than two years.

The legal guarantee, in plain text
- The legal guarantee of conformity protects you when a product is faulty, does not work, or does not match what was advertised or agreed.
- The seller is responsible. You can ask the seller to repair or replace it at no cost to you. If that is not possible, or is not done within a reasonable time, you can ask, depending on the case, for a price reduction or a refund.
- Across the EU it lasts at least 2 years from delivery. National law may set a longer period.
- What to do: contact the seller as soon as you notice the problem and keep your proof of purchase.
- On top of this, the seller or the producer may offer commercial guarantees. They come in addition to the legal guarantee and never replace it.
